Preston Gilbert & Sullivan Society

presented its 2007 production

The Sorcerer

At the Playhouse Theatre, Preston - PR1 2HB

January 17th to 20th 2007

And at the Lowther Pavilion, Lytham - FY8 5QQ

January 25th to 27th 2007

The Thursday performances at both venues were signed for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Our signer was Michael Boe. We believe that this is the first time a G&S production was signed either in Preston or on the Fylde Coast. This was quite a costly exercise for us and we are pleased to say that

The Preston Hearing Centre, 11 Fox Street, Preston, PR1 2AB, 01772 252411

and BAE SYSTEMS helped us with the cost.

Our 'Sorcerer' was set in the early 1940s. We are very grateful to the West Lancashire Military Vehicles Trust - especially Dave Salisbury and Susie and Jony Newbold - for assistance with this production, including publicity photos, period information and artefacts. For more information on the Trust, please contact Dave Salisbury, 5 Queens Drivre Fulwood, Preston, PR2 9YH, 01772 715749.

The Musical Director for "The Sorcerer" was Nic Parker and the Production Director was Sue Dillon.
